AD Walker is a Minneapolis-based contemporary artist whose creative journey began in graffiti and evolved into a distinctive fine art practice rooted in self-expression, storytelling, and experimentation.
A self-taught artist who also attended the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD), Walker works across acrylic painting, watercolor, mixed media, and custom wearable art. His approach combines the raw energy of street art with the depth and intentionality of contemporary fine art.
Known for bold compositions, vivid colors, layered textures, and striking contrasts, Walker creates work that invites viewers to look closer. Behind the visual intensity are stories of identity, imagination, social awareness, resilience, and the human experience.
For Walker, art is deeply personal. His creative practice has been shaped by life's challenges, moments of loss, and the process of finding hope through adversity. Painting became more than a means of expression. It became a way to transform difficult experiences into something meaningful.
