The Deep Between was made during a profoundly difficult period, in the emotional space between where the artist was and where he hoped to be. Instead of narrating those experiences literally, he lets color and texture carry their weight. Crimson expresses struggle, passion, and persistence; metallic gold signals resilience, growth, and light that endures; deep blue holds quieter depths. Heavy layers of paint trace decisions and gestures over time, reflecting how healing is never one clean moment but a gradual process of moving forward. Born from a deeply personal experience, the work invites others to consider the space between who they were, who they are, and who they are becoming.
